✏️ Introduction

This activity helps students improve their reading, pronunciation, and confidence using phonics. It combines extended reading practice with a fun Wordwall interactive game.

📖 Word Families

🎮 Wordwall Game: “I Know, I Don’t Know”

🎯 Objective

Students decide if they know or don’t know a word and practice reading it aloud.

💻 Setup (Wordwall)

  • Create an activity (Quiz / Wheel / Open the Box)
  • Add phonics words (cat, pen, jet, sit, etc.)
  • Optional: Add pictures or audio

🕹️ How to Play

  1. Show the Wordwall game on screen
  2. Student chooses a box or spins
  3. Word appears
  4. Student says:
    • 🟢 “I know!” → read the word
    • 🔴 “I don’t know.” → ask for help
  5. Give points and encouragement

⭐ Scoring

  • Correct word = 1 point
  • With sentence = 2 points
  • Try = encouragement 👍
